Flamed Pete 359

Here is the latest off of my bench. It is the reissue Revell AG Peterbilt 359. The only decal on this truck is the license plate every thing else is HOK paint. This build sports a lot of aftermarket items from KFS, Mo'luminum, Clint Freeman Components (CFC), The Model car garage. Kit bashed items are the street rod style head lights from a Monogran Dan Fink speed wagon kit and the chrome trim under the cab and sleeper from the Revell Stepps wrecker kit. Scratch built items are the coiled air and electrical lines, the dog house for the coiled lines and the bumper guides (aka chicken sticks or rookie sticks). These were made with aluminum rod and tube. The lights in the chicken sticks were made by turning down amber sprue from an AMT kit using a dremel tool and my hobby knife. The air cleaner brackets are also scratch built using brass tube and applying bare metal foil.

That is absolutely gorgeous dieseldoc!  The flames are awesome - I especially like how they look on the rear of the sleeper.  I also really like your choice of headlights, as they're similar to early Peterbilt lights but still different.

Which vendor supplied the exhaust guards?

The exhaust is from KFS out of the UK

this is an awesome truck, paint's great but details make it. would you share which kit you used? I'm new but looking to build my husband's '84 359 and yours is very similar. I especially like where you parked your windshield wipers-same place our real ones park but not like most models. thanks for wonderful pictures.
