Welp, I have been working on this Pay star International Dump Truck.  I actually wanted to be a Tractor and adding a 5th wheel, I was going to have it pulling my Bulldozer.  But after doing some construction, I found out that it would look much better as a Dump Truck.

So I got most of the body parts together and glued in place.

But I didn’t like the Kit sideboards that came with it.  So I made some of my own sleeves with Sheet Styrene and got Balsa to make my own boards.  Looks more realistic.

Now onto the Paint.  Wasn’t sure what Color to make it, so I experimented with a couple of Ideas and used a Red and Copper combination.  I think it looks pretty good this way.

The Body is painted white and I have some of the Cab details done.  I will take some more pictures of those and send them along soon.

I do believe you've done it. Although I also believe you could have gotten a model of it without having to kitbash. One question,, Where's the dirt gonna go? It is too pretty to mess up.

Actually, Since I work for a Highway Dept, I was going to either have this loaded with Blacktop, or just have the Inside dirtied up like it has hauled Blacktop.

Nice Job Tom. Those old ERTL truck kits were great. I think I did them all at one time or other.

Well, because they have the Wheel base so far back, I am going to put Drop Down Axles in the front of it.

Otherwise it looks too damn long without them.

I like your choice of colors. Very unique. The wood is a nice touch. It would look good with a logo of some sort on the truck.

I had a logo all set to try to print on Decal sheet but the damn Computer crashed and I lost it.

It was going to be Honast Bender's Construction Company.

If you know what that is!

Actually it is on the back burner for now.  But I intend on getting it started again shortly.
