Thanks, remind me to find the animation I did of them and then everyone will hear the wine.
And after a few days away I came to ask myself...
"Why are you texturing panels on a Viper!!!???"
I had no good answer so off with the wings and stabalizer (forward fuselage too). The stabalizer is dead, long live the stabalizer (please forgive me it's late).
I have got to keep an eye on this model. I have a Viper model in my stash. Another 4MM model to build? When you finish it, and I get caught up on the models I am doing, I will build my model to look like yours.
For your review... Please note the ring around the rear of the top engine "intake". It's not present on the series miniature of full size mockup but I've seen it on several styrene/resin kits. I've been debating on whether or not to include it but I think it really does look good.
Next up are the additional surface details on the wings and the panels and details on the main egine cowlings.
I didn't get around to the engine panels but I did manage some details on the rear "bits". What you're seeing is about one-third of the actual detail that's there but we'll just save all that for the 5120px orthographics. Sort of made it up as I went along so hopefully it's not too disjointed looking.
Sorry to hear about the hair Lloyd, should have put up a warning sign. They are coolant pressure gauges (at least that's what my pilot's manual calls 'em). But no, not lights I just turned up the emit on them so you can see them better.
I'll get some new renders up next weekend. I wanted to do some on it this past weekend but that was taken up when I had to replace the floor of the master bathroom. And let me just say that I HATE closet flanges!!!
I bet it was easier than me, I live in a Mobile home, (All I can afford in this area on one salary), and my Hot Water heater blew out the bottom and flooded my Bedroom floor.
Now in Mobile homes, they build the floor not with plywood, and not with Particle board, but something they call Beaver Board. And this crap is like Sawdust glued together. And when it hit water, it is like a sponge. So I had to rip up all the floors and put new plywood down. And if to make matters worse, they don't Nail down these boards, but they Staple them, and with a Billion six staples and this crap falling apart as I picked it off the floor joists..... Well all I can say is
Needless to say, I still have Plywood floors in my bedroom, haven't had money and time to put down carpeting again.
