Father/Son Musashi

I think this must have been around 1997. Our club had a father/son award at the annual show so Ian and I did this 1/350 tamiya missouri. He did the assembly and I did the paint. I wish he still liked to do them like he did back then :( He did like the 2 star wars kits I got him 2 weeks or so ago though-the walker and the other little walker (no relation to Tom) Now he likes mech warrior so he gets those for Christmas if he keeps his grades up. But I couldn't stop myself from painting one the other day. Anyway the ship still sits on his dresser looking as good as it did back then....

This is our Pinewood derby car. I cut the basic shape out on the band saw and did the rough sanding and cut out the fins. Ian sanded then painted it and I glossed the heck out of it. It weas really a hit!

Thats it,  I thought that came out great.  Of course Ian in no way looks like that anymore.

He is probably taller than you.

Outstanding Mike!!!

Your son looks so proud of his accomplishment, and you'll both treasure the memories of building a model together for a lifetime.
