Yes, let the building begin!!!!!!  As for the Gilbert as CG, primary modeling is almost complete.  I think I finally came up with something that looks good for the rear underside structure that will be the bottom of the intermix chamber.  After that I need to dressup the upper dome, bridge, and B, C decks.  After that there's enough there for you to begin.  Beyond that it's pretty much all down to the texturing except for adding lights, RCS outlets and some hatches.

I have not as yet moved the "Gilbert" on the underside but that's a pretty minor change as it just involves changing the UV co-ords for the map image.

One year when we are all at Wonderfest I'm going to do three things:

1)  Buy Tholian a drink.
2)  Buy you (Lloyd) a drink.
3)  Hold you down while Tholian smacks you.

Yes you would mister.

Major modeling is almost complete.  I thought you had the last word Tom?  I just work here.  Here's the latest...

The deflectors have been installed.

And here's the shape I'm pretty much happy with for the underside bottom-of-the-warp-core blister.  What does everyone think?  And more importantly what do you thing Tholian?

And with AO turned off.  Still using the lamp portion of my WIP lighting scheme.

It looks fantastic.  I really appreciate you bringing this idea to life like you did.  Like I said, I am going to build you a Cairo and hopefully it will come out the way you want it to.

If there isn't anything else you can think of, then I say it looks complete.  Kudo's to you for what you did!

Also, notice this is the first thread to make 5 pages long?  Isn’t that cool too?

Can there be an animation for this fine ship?  Basically if you did an animation, I would be like a School kids looking at his first playboy.

Do you think you could also give me a picture like this one with the completed features so I can post on my web site?

Another great 4MM job done. So happy to see it come together.

Tholian, great team work! That is a real beauty you have there. In spite on my interference, it got done. I have to try harder on the next project!

Thanks guys.  There's only one leettle problem... It's not finished.  It's close but not quite yet.  When it is I'll fulfill all rendering request for your website Tholian.  So it looks like you'll have more opportunities here to make trouble Lloyd.

You'll be happy to know that I've got an idea for the perfect animation.  Don't know if I can pull it off or not but I'm going to try.

So here's the update for tonight.  The bridge as well as B and C decks have been textured with both some spec panels (not sure they qualify as being called Aztek-ing) and some color.  The color of the bridge "dome" itself is being washed out so I'll be tweaking that.  Oh yes, before I forget... Anyone have good images of the port saucer hatch and the aft (and only) bridge docking port?

And finally I've made some orthos where each view is 2560pixels wide but... you can't see them.  I made them yesterday to identify problems with the mesh and textures.  When it's all wrapped up I'll make the 5120s and release those.

Yes, 5 pages.  The first for the site.  Although it was alson the first thread to hit 2 page.  And then the first to hit 3.  And so on.  But you are right, it is cool, and I'm honored.

Is there a big-head-smilie?

Thanks Lloyd for getting those shots for 4MM.  Hope they help him out.  As for displaying the ship on my site.  I don't think I will until you say she is all finished.  Wouldn't be fair to show the world a half built ship.

As for the Thread hitting 5 pages, yes, it was the first to hit three and four, but I beleive the Cairo hit two before this one did.

Yes Lloyd thanks for the pics.

Tholian, thanks for the correction.  Not that I'm counting or anything
