Here are some pictures of my 120 MM verlinden Mounted JEB Stuart. I painted it in acrylics then finished it with artists oils. All the straps, and tack are made from lead foil. I mounted a small confederate flag and crossed cavalry sabres on the base, which is two layers of oak, each layer finished with a different stain.
It's a present for my wife, who's been after me for a long time to build her a horse. All that's left to do is fabricate a plexiglass cover for it.
It was my first horse, and I had a good tikme doing it. It looks more like me than Stuart, but what the heck!!!! Let me know what you think.
It looks like some of the Confederate art I have seen in FineScale magazine years ago. Of course, being related to Confederate veterans, I am always happy to see a fine piece like this.
