Well kiddies the show season is coming to an end for us in the Northeast. Just got my invite to the Long Island Historic Miniatures Collectors Society Show in Freeport Long Island next weekend. They are traditionally the last show before ol man winter roars in and kicks our sorry butts. Work by some of the best figure painters and sculptors in the world will be there. Not a bad show to visit if your're in the neighborhood.
Anybody going?

Whats the one this weekend that you are not going to?
Let me know so I can find the info, and you can give me Directions. But this time I will skip going to the Bronx Zoo. Rather go straight through to the show. LOL
This Weekend is LIARS the Long Island Auto Replica Society show at the Freeport Rec Ctr. A bunch of the TNMCC guys are going (as of last night's Meeting).
I fully expect to go to Gettysburg with Jose but he has been known to cancel at the last minute so who knows.

Hey look, the meeting is the First Monday of every month unless that Monday is a holiday and the Rec Center is closed. (ie Labor Day or Independence Day). Got a Calendar?

Went to the LIHMCS in Freeport Long Island With Doc and Celtic today. Doc won a Bronze for his Ducati Motorcycle, and I believe Silver for his 1/350th Tug Boat. I myself won a Silver for my D-8 Bulldozer, and a Bronze for my Overall Sci-Fi Model Display.
We had a great time, and the awards again this year were pewter trophy’s, which are nice because they display next to the piece if you want to do it that way. Had some traffic on the way down with some Tree workers, and another where a Car tried to become an Airplane and landed in a Tree. But otherwise the day went pretty well.
And I was sooo looking forward to seeing all of the animals. We went right by the Zoo exit, and didn't even slow down. Jeez!!!!!
If you paint figures at all, any type, that's the show to go to in the East. The quality of work is simply outstanding! And with Tholian as your driver, you will have a good time. I never knew that a sun roof could double as a tank turret hatch!!!! There are some Long Islanders who will never be the same again!!!!
