Sitting here Early in the morning waiting for my Sleep medicine to kick in so I can finally get some Z'sss, and I thought of a question to give out there.
What is the Worst Model you built? There has to be one that you found to be the biggest Pain in the Arse and you would tell everyone around not to get it, or at least warn them.
Doc warned me, and he was right about this International Truck I am putting together. The Damn Rear Axles don't even match when placing them together. I had to look for a bit thinking I might have mixed up parts, But low and behold, it was the worst fit I have seen to come out of a "Professional" manufacturer. Now That and so far, the Enterprise "B" have been the two that I can think of.
The "B" had more seams that had to be puttied then a Fabricated Scratch built. I think the front of the hull was heaviest from that alone.
So lets here what you got on your list of Crappy kits!
The Worst ever was a B-45 Bomber kit by Mach 2. The parts were basically blobs in approximately the right shape. The attachment points to the sprues were in some cases actually larger than the part. The fit was a horror show. The wing halves didn't mate up at all the bottom was almost an eighth of an inch larger in all dimensions. I it looked like the upper half shrunk. The directions were a single photocopied page that was probably a 4th or 5th generation copy.
Followed closely by the Revell Firefighter Fire Boat. The hull halves were also almost an eighth of an inch off. The main deck needed 30 thousandth plastic shims all the way around so it would fit into the hull.
