Galileo 7: the model

Until my missing K-7 parts show up, I will be working full time on this.


I am using the conversion parts, from http://www.minimodelmadness.com/store/. I have already been cutting on the parts, to ready the rear work, and the door. I plan to put interior work, and maybe lights inside, but not in the rear. As we all know, the rear is only lit when flying. Mine will be on the ground, and it might turn into a diorama.I will have crew members, and this Galileo will be pre-Galileo 7 episode.

Here I go. I have cutout the back end for the conversion part. On the two nacelles, I have cutout openings and reinserted the pieces, for the front landing gear.


 



 


I won't be doing much more on the outside, for now. Just want you to know, I am doing something.

I know you know, how inaccurate this model is. I am going to do what I can, within reason. I am throwing out the front control panels, and going to scatch build another.THat is what I am working on now. No pictures yet.

I have got some work on the inside done. I scratched built the control console, since the original could not be made to look right. I will later make my own decales for the panels. I have also made wall panel.


I am using David Winfrey's drawings, and screen grabs, to use as my guide. I have read that the model is 1/37 scale. But the inside I figured, and so did David, that it is 1/48 scale. I am still planning to put figures inside, so I have to get some 1/48 figures.


So here is the latest photo.

i think its 1/35 scale. all amt says to me is its hell to put together.

Ahhh, see I have the model, but never put it togther.  I thought that was a garage kit at first.

It can't be a garage kit, I am not building it in the garage.


The inside, except the chairs, will be scratched built. The outside, will be used as is, except the conversion parts from Mini Model Madness.

Well, I am stopping this model, to get back to the K-7. So check back, when the model is a mid-season replacement.
