New to this forum and the HVHMG, but psyched to have found both.
I've been an avid modeler my entire life, though there have been dry periods where I haven't built anything (I know, I know...). Even then I still kept the subscriptions to SAE & FSM going, to keep abreast of all the great work being done and as a continuing source of inspiration. The web's become an incredible resource for modelers.
I'm into all genres, but my primary interests are light/heavy commercial vehicles (especially heavy Euro trucks), muscle cars/hot rods, aircraft and sci-fi; though I must admit I'm tired of the same old Star Trek/StarWars stuff. Imaginative kitbashed/scratchbuilt are what get me going. My favorite sci-fi "worlds" are those from the "Alien" movies and the "Firefly" TV series/movie. To date my one and only eBay purchase has been the dropship from "Aliens".
I'm coming out of one of those aforementioned dry spells, and building a workshop in my basement. Recently I've been bitten by the "rat rod" bug, and look forward to starting something really soon. I'll let you know how it goes...
I've been lurking around here for a while and it seems to be a great, laid back group. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone here and having a great time.
