Hi!


Here is my scratched built model, of Ming the Merciless's Robot Fighter. It is from the Filmation's cartoon series. The body of it is 1/2 inch OD tube, the wings and tail fins are .060 inch sheet styrene. I made a templet, by resizing a screen grab. The overall length is 8 7/8 inches.


The black lines on the fuelage are decals, that I made. The base is a leftover resin one from another model, and the Flash Gordon name on the base, is a decal made from a screen grab. Here is a photo of the finished model.


 




And here is the screen grab from the DVD. This is one of many I used, for reference.

Yea, I was looking at this.  Looks just like the cartoon shot you have here.  I just never saw the actual show.


But a fantastic job nether the less

Thanks, Tholian! This was a fast build. All went together as planned.


The cartoon is more like the very old comic strips. A serious series, until the second season.

I am waiting for tomorrow, I am supposed to be getting the Star Trek Animated series.  I can't wait to watch them.  It was my childhood in a nutshell watching that show after the series was cancelled.  Pretty Cool!
