Lost in Space Robot Head
Permalink

I haven't started it yet, but I always wondered if anyone has found a good way of getting rid of the Seam in the Glass head of the Old Robot.

I thought that I could suspend the Components in a Mold, and then pour in Clear Resin.  But the point of being able to know if it was correctly positioned inside the mold comes to mind.

Any Ideas?

As I understand it the way the real head was done was started as a globe then press down to it's shape. I am not saying to do the same but if you look at the web http://www.b9robotbuildersclub.com/ a buck can be made almost the same shape then casted or vac form and a clear disk can be made for the bottom like the big guy
