USS Talon Help??

Well, I assume that you all have seen my Talon, but what you don’t know is that it got broke a few days ago in an unfortunate accident.

Here it is the way she should look….

Well, the damn warp engines got broke off.  I have re-attached them with some Superglue, but how do I fix the seam again without having to strip the whole damn model.  And getting the paint to match will be a killer as well, not sure what damn color it was again anyways.

Most of the time it would not bother me, but I always loved this Kit bash of mine, that’s why I re-did it from the Reprise.

Well, here are pictures of the damage; any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

That is terrible news. It is so nasty looking.

Did you use the color in the PL instructions? I know how hard it is to match the color.
I never tried this, but I was thinking about thining the putty, where you could brush it in, and lightly wet sand it. Super Glue as a filler would be a pain to sand , in the position the cracks are in.

If I think of any other way, I will post. Good luck.

Lloyd

Actually, if you look real close, this is an AMT/Turtle 18" Enterprise kit.  Unless you were just going by the color codes that come with the Polar Lights directions.

I thought about it and if I remember correctly, I used one of the Tamiya Colors.  One of those greys, guess I will have to do some painting and see if I can find the match.
