USS Kraken
Permalink

This is my original design for a very heavy transport/frieghter/tug. It is from the early days of the federation and was used to deliver and set up collapsible deep space stations like the K-7. Not only could the Kraken ,and her two sister ships of the Goliath class, set up and supply a new station it could do the same for a starbase or a colony. The class had been used for many additional missions due to it ability to carry up to six different cargo pods.

I'm no CG artist that's for sure but I have these images of the class.

Glad to see her again, Woody. I really like the design. Hope one day you will build the model.

Better make that two craploads.  Have you got any views (other than the early sketch) that shows the ship without the cargo containers?

A few. These are the sketches I made for the scale model project.

I'll have to see if I can kick start my old PC to retrieve the front view.

Well done! That isn't the final version but it is pretty close. The container pylons should be much shorter. See the top and side view. The hull and warp nacelle placements are correct.

Woody,

I collected all of your Kraken pictures, but finding them is pure luck. I have liked that design, since the first time I saw it.
