Star Trek II!

I was thrilled that it was a true sequel to TOS. When it came out in 1982, it was the only movie ever that I watch 10 times in the theater.

I was honestly torn between The Motion Picture and The Wrath of Khan...I ultimately chose TMP. I love all of the Trek movies (yes, even The Final Frontier...it has its merits), but TMP is what started the ball rolling. With the recent death of its Director, Robert Wise, I pulled out my Director's Edition DVD and watched it again. No, it wasn't as action-packed as some of the later outtings, but it is definitely a lovely film. And besides, it's the film where we got the first glimpse of the refit Enterprise...it doesn't get much better than that! The whole drydock inspection scene just really gets me every time I watch it...between seeing the Enterprise in all her refitted glory and Jerry Goldsmith's (RIP, too!) soaring score...wow, what a magnificent sequence!

It is hard to say which one I like the most. I can tell you that Final Frontier sucked. LOL

But I had to vote for Undiscovered Country. I just love the action sequences, and having the Excelsior there also gave took my vote.

Everytime I watch the end of Undiscovered Country, I feel like crying. The end of TOS crew on the 1701.
