Suggestions for Vulcan Shuttle rcs detail?

Can anyone suggest a good way to paint the yellow RSC detail on the Vulcan shuttle, please? Decals would be impractical as they have to conform to curves and whatnot.

I've been trying to draw the lines with a pencil but can't get them uniform.

How about a making a templet? Then draw it on with it, and them mask it to paint.

If the problem is uniformity in line thickness but you can make the lines straight, how about scribing them?

I didn't ding the engraving tip helpful becaue I wouldn't be able to keep the lines uniform.

I'm guessing that a template method would work best.

The shuttle is in the sidelines for now.
