Thanks for the pix Tom,

Now tell us how you did at the show. What was it, Two Silvers and a Gold Two Golds and a Silver?

I remember the Dozer took a Silver, Mergatroid got a Gold and I remember the Atlantia got something but forgot what.

Now who's the Hardware Whore?

The Show was a bunch of fun (as usual) and judging all the great stuff on the tables was tough (as usual). I always do better at the Raffle at this show than I ever do on the tables. My Yamaha YZR M1 took home the lone medal albeit a Gold in Motorcycles.

The upside is my luck with the raffle held up. I won a 1/35 Blackhawk, the 1/350 Scale Nippon Maru (From OP Sail  in 1976), and a 200MM Bust of a Grenadier Guard. So, for a $10 donation, I won about 75 bucks worth of goodies.

Now to find the time to build the bloody things

The Person you should be asking about being an Award Whore is John.  He took a bunch of medals when he said he wasn't going to get any.

I got a Gold and an Out of Box for the Alien Face Hugger.  Which was a total surprise to me going up against that Hulk and other figures there.

The Dozer Got Silver, and the Battlestar Atlantia got silver.

As far as Prizes, I say I got my monies worth as well.  Of course there were not any Sci-Fi kits to get, or at least there were none when I got up to pick, but I did get a Metal Model kit of a 40 Ford Coupe, and a Resin Jimmy Flintstone Slammer Car kit.  Which will be something different to do.  And with my Last ticket, I just grabbed a late model Panther G Late Version Tank, that I have no idea when I will put it together either.  The Metal car is one of those Screw together types, and looks really nice.  Don't have to paint it.  LOL

In the vendor’s area, I only got three models.  I picked up some more Dirt modified cars, one a 40 Ford, and the other a 35 Chevy. And I also picked up the Monte Carlo Super Stocker.  I will be ready for a Whole Race track team soon. LOL I also picked a great Base fro my Pit Fiend from Jose’s table, should look good when it is done.

As for the Show, I always enjoy going to Stratford because they are a Great Bunch of Guys and Gals that make the show great.

One big thing that made me feel real good is that I have Judged, Automotive, and Figures, and I have even done Sci-Fi when I had nothing entered.  But I have never been a Head Category Judge before.  It was an Honor that I could do something like that and the team members I had helping me were a spectacular bunch of guys.  And thanks to Hamy for his Guidance, it was much appreciated when I had a few questions.  The neat thing about being a Head category judge was being able to help out in the vote for the Best in Show.  Something new to me and wow! was it hard.  The pieces that won top in their category were so good, it was most difficult to find a fault with one to make the other the best.  But again, it was an Honor to be asked and again, thanks Hamy.  For everything, there is a first time.

Great show Stratford guys, see you next year.

Hi Guys,

We appreciate you guys coming over. If I recall, there were about 5 or 6 of the Mid Hudson guys representing your chapter. And thanks for the trophy sponsorship.

I certainly appreacite you guys helping judge. Y'all made my job as Head Judge much easier, which is why it went so well.

Congratulations on your wins. They're all well deserved!!

See you at your show in a few weeks. But first, on to Syracuse!!!
