November Contest

Ok, last month was easy, because I had pictures of some models already to place up.  Now I know a lot of you do not have your own web space to show an image file, so just attach an image and when it comes time to start making the votes, I will post it up so all can see using my Web space.

So start submitting your entries now for November, and I will post the Voting on the last week of October.

This time I am going to submit my Quad Gun Tractor.  I thought I would get my Armor out of the way since I did my Walker Bulldog last month.

This is a Tamiya kit that I bought in our local hobby shop.  I wasn't looking for anything special, just came across it and thought it may be fun to put together.

It is a basic kit, except for the windows.  I used clear sheet styrene because the original windows just didn't seem to look right.  I did the underside in Green, and the body in a Desert Brown.  I gave it a future and then a wash to fill in the seams.

Hope you like.

Since Tom's finishing off his armor I'll finish off my spacecraft

This is revell's 1/72 shuttle. I used real space models thrust cans and bay interior-but I didn't use the interior in the kit I used it to build the interior using plastic sheet, paper towels saoked in white glue/water, and solder. The insulation(solar panels?) on the doors is diet coke can material cut to fit. Just after I finished the complete decal sheet for the tiles on the shuttle was released-I'd like to do another using that sheet!

This is a cybermat from Dr Who. The original model that I bought 20 years ago, was to have spines on the back, and bulging eyes. I changed it by scratch building antennas, and making new eyes. The star pattern on the eye are decals I made.

As far as the models go so far for this month, I think that Space shuttle is spectacular their Modelguy!  Great details.

And Lloyd, as I said in the posts about your Cyber-mat, Great job!  Even though I never saw one of the creatures in the show, the picture you showed me from the show, it looks just like the real thing.

Here's something for the November contest. It's a 1/43 scale Courage C-54. I detailed the cockpit with Carbon Fiber Decal, scratch built two switch panels, added extra wiring and a seat belt kit from Photo-cut.

The exterior is painted with Testors Green, square bottle, and metalizer for the silver areas. It's all overcoated with clear automotive lacquers. (Who said enamel model paint and automotive lacquers aren't campatable!!!)

Cool Hacksaw. I never "saw" that kit before, who makes it?

I think it's the new Hasawgawa kit. I've read somewhere that it doesn't accurately portray a contemporary saw though-check your references. Can't wait for the aftermarket sets foe this one.

I will check at Hobby Lobby for the saw kit, it would look good in my woodworking shop.

You guys slay me !!!

It's the Unobtainium 1:1 scale hacksaw kit.  Available at fine wine stores everywhere.  You can get it in any color/metal-finish you want aslong as it's black/chrome.

I also hear there is an accurizing kit coming out next year.
