Usually I listen to my inner monolog telling me to get a real job or complaining about fit or wondering what's to eat. I'll put in a dvd or video (heavy WW-II docu stuff) and half pay attention and listen whilst working. Some times Pink Floyd's the wall, sometimes the soundtrack to PBS Journey of the Corps of Discovery-Lewis and Clark, Beatles #1's, Rush, the Eagles, Wagner, John Phillip Sousa, bagpipes (really)....Where's my meds?
I listen to Traditional Bluegrass, Newgrass, Country, Rock, and sometimes Jazz. Artists such as Bela Fleck, Little Feat, Skynyrd, Ricky Skaggs, Captain Beyond, The North Mississippi Allstars, and The Chieftains among others all occupy places in my musical library. I've found it very hard to build and watch TV, as building is a visual medium, and trying to divde my attention between the two just doesn't work. For me anyway!! Sometimes I have the radio on, but I get lousy reception in my shop and generally stick with CD's and cassettes. Cool topic!!!
I have my Setup in the kitchen area. I do live in a Trailor ya know.
So I put on a movie usually and watch a show when I am working. Don't relly listen to music until I am in the car. And I tried once to build a model while I was driving, and it didn't really work out that well.

Mike (Modelguy2) used to build models while he was driving his cab. (Or so I'm told.) A little trivia fact from that trip to Long Island all those years ago. He never went on a road trip with us againd did he Tholian? Infact he left the bloody state (must've be something we said).
As for music in my shop, lets see; there's a little metal, some Jazz, some Celtic, blues, and a smattering of classic rock for kicks.
