I have started a TIE fighter, as seen in an episode of Droids animated series. The first shot, I primed the solar panel wings. The second shot, I printed up the mask on self stick paper, then put each mask on, then used a black paint marker. The third shot, show the red painted in with paint marker.
I don't know what the red logo is. It could be a tick. It is from the space pirate Kybo Ren group, from the Droids' movie The Pirate and the Prince, that was made from episodes of the series. Below is a screen grab from the DVD.
The neat thing about when they do a Cartoon about a series, they can add as much as they want because they have no expenses to detail the props and minatures.
But also sucks because us modelers have to add that much more Crap to the piece. LOL
Yes, they can put whatever they like, but it gives modelers a challenge. I want to build other models and add the logos, and art as seen on TV and films. This is my start.
How is the Movie anyways? I always thought the Cartoons would be not as good as the real thing. Does it tie into the other films and fit like they should? And do they use the Voices of the same people in the Characters?
It was made for kid, like me, and it is fun to watch. It is surppose to take place between Revenge of the Sith, and A New Hope. Both 3PO and R2 are going from master to master in the series. I found the DVD at WM for $10 for two movies. Anthony Daniels who does the voice of C-3PO, and R2-D2 as himself.
I really enjoyed it back in 1985 on ABC. I hope Lucas puts out the whole series.
On the model, I am painting the figure, and inside. Still have to finish the wings, but no hurry.
