Wie gaits! I'm Bob Doyno..(damned aeroplanes!)..and I have been a member of the Mid-Hudson IPMS HVHMG for around four years now. I am primarily a WW1 aviation enthusiast and my modeling interests stem from there. I work in 1/48 scale almost exclusively except when I will use a different scale for the purpose of a diorama. I enjoy dio's as they put the aircraft in a historical perspective. Some of my work can be seen on the HVHMG gallery or you can visit my buddy Ross Moorehouse's site at http://www.wargamer.com/Hosted/CloseCombatFuture/rosssmodels/main.htm
Alot of cool stuff here besides mine. My latest, a 1/48 Junkers J.1 is posted under the aircraft portion (Rag Wings) of this site. Thanks for looking. If anyone should have any questions about kits or WW1 aviation in general, let me know and I'll be back to you asap. I have an extensive library on WW1 aviation. Cheers!
Glad you made it onboard Bob. I was hoping that if you get accustomed to the forum thing, that maybe you can moderate some of the Aircraft sections here.
Heeyyy it's Bob and his Damn Aeroplanes (Oh Hi Bob). Welcome aboard sir. You missed some real nice rag wings at LIHMCS today. Looked like mostly scratchbuilt stuff of some real interesting subjects. Tom posted them on his Fotki Site and to the HVHMG groups List.

Thanks to all for your kind comments. Man, I'll say I missed some great models at the LI show! I am constantly humbled by the awesome talent out there. I was curious , Doc, what were the scales of the Camel and the Vickers Gunbus?

They were both 1/72. The Gunbus was amazing. The rigging was so fine it must have a bear to pull off. The float plane was the nicest of the bunch, very fine work and the doped linen looked spot on. Someday maybe...
