Well since the TNMCC club project is "Station Wagons", I thought I'd take one of the many Nomad bodies I have and Pro Stock it. This past week I've scratch built the Frame, Front end and rear axle and suspension (twice dammit).

I Raided the parts box for a Pontiac 421 with twin carbs. Dug out some American Satco Goodyear slicks for the rear and some donuts for the front.

Frame is now primed and the engine is built. The frame will be Red tomorrow and the engine will probably get primer.

I also cut off the front clip and made it a "flipnose" just to make it more difficult. I think the body will be black over House of Kolor Aztec gold.

Pix when I remember to bring the camera home.

Ahhh the saga of the Nomad continues. After completing the chassis, I find that the engine i chose won't fit in the bloody frame. Soo off the kit frame with the rear subframe and I completely scratch build a new front sub frame and engine mount. Since I had to push the front axle forward it is no longer a Pro Stock. I'm putting a supercharger and blower on the engine and making it a full blown gasser. I did remember my camera so I'll try to get some pictures over the weekend.

Still no pictures but another twist in the saga. After building the entire front subframe and the chassis assembly, I find the engine of choice forces the front axle too far forward for the hood to fit.

So instead of a Pro stock, I eliminated the hood, slapped a blower on the engine and made it a Gasser.

Started work roughing out the roll cage and finishing the real wheel tubs. May see primer this weekend.
