Here is my entry for the TNMCC club project. The sides were cut from basswood and birch plywood using the kit sides as templates.

Are the hub caps painted or did you find something laying around?  The scale on them looks great, just like the real (and full size) thing.  The whitewalls look a little bright but nice nonetheless.

The hub caps are kit pieces stripped and painted with Alclad II Chrome. Yeah the wide whites are a bit over powering but I haven't "weathered" them yet.

Doc, good to see your work again. I like the wood, makes it look real. Nice lookin model.
