STAR WARS AT-AT BUILD
Permalink

Here's a few pics of my latest project completed. The MPC version of the Imperial AT-AT from Star Wars "Return of the Jedi". This kit was well detailed and weathered per reference material gathered from photo's of the actual ILM prop. Notice the "Rust" effects that really bring it to life! 10 inches long and 8 inches tall, it looks much bigger in the pictures. I hope the next version ordered will feature lighting in a Diorama setting. Check out the website for more pictures of this build!

Hi Simon!

Glad to see you post over again. You know I keep up with your work, and this is another great build. The weathering looks very real. As for lighted model,I only noticed the cockpit lit.

With Star Wars models, you have no choice, you have to weather. I like that Lucas wanted them this way, it does bring it to life and makes them looks bigger, as does your model.

I will be watching you!I mean your model work.

PS, If you haven't seen it, you might want to see this Star Wars fan film. IMPS The Relentless. Awesome CGI work, and it features ATATs at the beginning of the film. They even put nose art on the ATATs, like the WWII bombers. http://impstherelentless.com/tek9.asp?pg=chapter1
